The people of God as the church in the last days will be gathered together as one in the revelation of Jesus Christ having the testimony of Jesus as the spirit of prophecy. They will know the light as the true Word in present truth and be living epistles and witnesses to Jesus Christ. The church will take on the whole armour of God with the loins girded about with truth or Logos, the Word of God. The church will also take the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God; this being not Logos, but Rhema or proceeding Word. The proceeding Word is the Logos or Word of God being manifested in and through the body of Christ in faith and unfeigned love of the brethren, to the point of dying for the body of Christ sealing their testimony with their own blood. This will give way to the judgment of God in the earth with judgment being given to the saints of the Most High God. The church will walk in the light as Jesus Christ is in the light, in present truth of in the revelation of Jesus Christ.

When we consider the statement of John, we understand that light as truth is not stagnant, but is dynamic in always flowing in power going from the ankles until it finally reaches the final stage of waters to swim in. There is a crystal sea before the throne of God which speaks of the enormous waters of truth to be entered into as we approach the throne of God where we as the manchild are caught up to God and to His throne. These have power with God as fellowlabourers with God in his work and testimony in the earth. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). Again, this is not stagnant in the faith, but is dynamic as light is always shining as the constant, and never changes as Faithful and True are always flowing into greater depths and higher heights, from glory to glory, from faith to faith.

How does one know that he or she is walking progressively in the light of God in reaching the high calling of God in Christ Jesus? Consider the statement of David in the Psalms. “Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.” (Psalms 89:15). The joyful sound in Hebrew is “te’ruw’ah” meaning “clamor, i.e. acclamation of joy or a battle-cry; especially clangor of trumpets, as an alarum, alarm, jubilee, sounding.”[1] This is not just the day of jubilee in the year of release in the season of Tabernacles, but are all the Feasts of the LORD Jesus which are heralded by trumpets. In all the work of God, trumpets were blown in going out and coming in; in battle for preparation, in gathering all the tribes of Israel, in every act in Israel, there was a trumpet heralding the move and work of God in moving from one place to another. The same is true in the church concerning the work of God in the last days. The “joyful sound” is the mow’ed or the divine appointments of God with mankind in the work of God for the salvation of His people in gathering all things in one; that is, in Christ Jesus. Natural Israel had natural Feasts with natural offerings and sacrifices at the blowing of trumpets in each Feast. The Lord Jesus Christ as our example personally fulfilled each of these Feasts in and of Himself, to full glorification of His body. The church will enter into the example set for us by our Lord and experience each Feast until we are fully glorified like unto his glorious body. This is referenced below in the Feasts of the LORD. Figure 1.

Some believe that natural Israel will experience the season of Tabernacles in the last days looking for the Tabernacle of David to be built again, when in the Book of Acts, James refers to this tabernacle as to the saving of souls in building the kingdom of God rather than a natural building made with hands. “Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets: as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.” (Acts 15:14-17). This is not an earthly building made with hands, but the true building that God has pitched and not man; that being the church as the body of Christ.

The joyful sound refers to each trumpet blast declaring each individual Feast of the LORD. Each Feast of the LORD is indicative of a season in the church of Jesus Christ going from one realm of glory into another realm of glory as shown in Figure 2 and 3 below.

Jesus fulfilled in and of Himself all these Feasts of the LORD making it possible for the church as His body to enter into the work that He had completed by Calvary. Jesus is the personal antitype that was symbolically portrayed in the Old Testament.

To know the meaning of these Feasts of the LORD is to know the joyful sound in walking in the light of Jesus Christ. The light of truth will shine more and more until the perfect day, when the church will be perfected at the coming of Jesus Christ. “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” (Proverbs 4:18). Many will declare that they are already perfect and have need of nothing which is the spirit of Laodicaea in the last days before the coming of the Lord Jesus. These state that they are clothed and fed and have need of nothing. They are at ease in Zion and settled on their lees, stating that the Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil. Many have declared that the day of miracles are over as to the testimony of Jesus, not realizing the great harvest of souls that awaiting to be harvested before the coming of the Lord. There is a great work ahead and a glory to be revealed in the saints of Jesus Christ. Some believe that only one Feast of the LORD is necessary for salvation being that of repentance. These are mostly “fundamental in doctrine” or “fundamentalist”. Others believe that three Feasts are required for salvation; that is, Repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins getting into Christ, and that is all that is necessary. Still others believe that one must experience four Feasts of the Lord being Repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and then going on and receiving the Holy Ghost. These are referred to as “Pentecostals” and generally stop at these four Feasts believing that this is all that there is to salvation.

There are a few that believe that all seven Feasts of the Lord are necessary for salvation; that is, Repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, receiving the Holy Ghost with the outward evidence of speaking in other tongues, with the ministry voice of Jesus being proclaimed through the body of Christ having the testimony of Jesus Christ, coming to a perfect man in the Day of Atonement, unto the measure of the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ. These are presented blameless in spirit, soul, and body at the appearing of Jesus Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles when we are gathered to meet the Lord in the air having the testimony of Jesus and keeping the commandments of God as the manchild. These are referred to as “Tabernaclists” of which this author is dedicated to proclaiming in the last days, preaching perfection to the body of Christ as essential for salvation. We must overcome to the end, for he that overcometh to the end, the same shall be saved.

A believer walking in the light as Jesus is in the light will have this Word pertaining to present day truth that the body of Christ must enter into and experience in the revelation of Jesus Christ to the world, as a witness to all nations before the end comes. It is vital in order to hear the Lord say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”, and not hearing the fatal words “depart from me, ye that work iniquity”. Iniquity is not sin which is the transgression of the law, but is lawlessness; that is, not being lead of the Spirit of God, but these have belied the Lord declaring that these things of God are not necessary. The spirit of prophecy is walking in the light as Jesus is in the light, doing the Word and not being just a hearer of the Word. These will be the jewels of God in the day of the Lord. The day will declare it. At this time, we will be able to tell who told the truth of the Word and who did not; between the righteous and the wicked; between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
