The Seventh Trumpet vs. The Last Trumpet

The trumpet sound was ordained by God as a voice to the people of God in the will of God for Israel in calling Israel together as one nation. The silver trumpets were alluding to the salvation redemption voice of Jesus in the last days for the gathering together of the church as one body with no division or schisms within it. Denominations and various creeds of beliefs will be torn down as God gathers together His body into one perfect man; that is, Jesus Christ the head and the body without spot or blemish.

“Make thee  two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps, And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.” (Numbers 10:2,3).

We see that the church in the last days will be called by the ministry voice of Jesus unto the mountain of Jerusalem to worship him. The Feast of Trumpets summons the body of Christ as the church unto the true God, the only wise God, the LORD Jesus Christ. Any iniquity or missing the mark of knowing Jesus in his person and work will result in deception and death since they did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved. The last day work of God in the revelation of Himself as Jesus Christ will be manifested by those that have the testimony of Jesus as those who will fill the earth with the greatest number of souls coming to the measure of the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ. This is the church coming to perfection, to full maturity in revealing Jesus to the world as a witness to all nations before the end comes. This is what we will refer to as the “ministry voice of Jesus” in full power and manifestation through the body of Christ as the church. The trumpets will give the distinctive piercing sound that cannot be duplicated by any other instrument of man’s voice; be it cornet, sackbut, psaltery, harp, lyre, or dulcimer. No fabrication of man’s denominations or doctrines, dogmas, or the elevation of any altars built by man will stand, for every stone shall be cast down to the ground by these that do know their Lord Jesus. Greater than any revival, this is the new thing that will be summoned in the earth by the sound of the trumpet in the day of the battle of the LORD.

“For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? (1 Corinthians 14:8).

Israel was acutely tuned into the trumpets, as every event was heralded by the sound of the trumpet. The trumpets were used for the calling of assemblies, the journeying of the camps of Israel, for the calling of princes, for the blowing of alarms, for war or enemy attacks, for days of gladness, for solemn assemblies, for the beginning of months, and for the offerings and sacrifices. The church is also called in the same way by the voice of Jesus as the leading of the Holy Ghost, walking in the light as He is in the light in each of these events. As the trumpets were used for calling of assemblies in Israel, so the church will be called together into one in Christ, in one mind and one accord as the church is gathered together into one from the four corners of the earth by the trumpet. When one trumpet was blown, the princes as the heads of thousands were gathered together, so the ministry that leads into perfection will also be gathered together by the voice of the trumpet. As with natural Israel as will it be with spiritual Israel. When getting ready to journey, a trumpet were sounded. The same is true in the church as she is led by the Spirit of God in her journey at the voice of the trumpet, the ministry voice of Jesus. An alarm was blown when trouble was approaching Israel, so it is in the church that the ministry voice of Jesus sounds an alarm as the evil day approaches. Israel went to war at the sound of the trumpet, so the church today does warfare at the ministry voice of Jesus. Israel had solemn assemblies at the sound of the trumpets, so the church will approach the Day of Atonement at the ministry voice of Jesus. At the beginning of months, Israel was heralded by the sound of the trumpets, so the church in the last days will be heralded by the ministry voice of Jesus to the times and seasons of the LORD Jesus. The Feast of Trumpets will be the next divine appointment with mankind on God’s calendar or events; it will be heralded by the voice of the trumpet as the ministry voice of Jesus.

The warfare in the battle of the day of the Lord Jesus is soon to take place as God prepares His ministry voice to warn and prepare the people of God for that time and season.

“Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment. How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?” (Jeremiah 4:21).

This is at the time that the “manchild” as the church in a higher realm of glory is birthed, in the night when the church is caught up to God and to his throne, to proclaim the true Jesus to the world, as a witness to all nations before the end comes. There will be a great evil out of the north upon all the land with the majority of prophets missing the mark.

“They have belied the LORD, and said It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine.” (Jeremiah 5:12).

Most do not minister in love, but have a vicious, hard spirit that has its motive in money, self exaltation, fame, and love of the world. These cannot minister in truth as the world and the love of money will always blind the eyes of the ministry. The ministry must see the seasons of the LORD and the appointed weeks of the harvest; for the ministry voice of Jesus will be heralded just as the trumpets of Israel prepared and warned them of upcoming seasons and war. These days are upon the church as we notice that the false prophets are in the church. The abomination of desolation is because of transgression with the devil and his angels behind the pulpits, standing in the holy place where they should not be, leading the people of God into error.

“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof.” (Jeremiah 5:31).

The Feast of Trumpets in the ministry voice of Jesus will proclaim the three and one half years, forty two months; time, times and dividing of time; one thousand two hundred and threescore days of the approaching day of the Lord Jesus; the day of the battle of the LORD. This will be a time of great tribulation as spoken by the prophets in the last end of the indignation of God which will throughly glean the remnant of the church from past “Pentecostals” unto “Tabernaclists”; following on to know the LORD Jesus, unto perfection by the work of God.

“Also I set watchmen over you, saying, hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.” (Jeremiah 6:17).

Look at the abomination of desolation in this scripture.

“For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it.” (Jeremiah 7:30).

Therefore, the Lord will do a work upon the earth in judgment to reveal Himself as the only true God and eternal life, that he himself alone is God, and beside him there is not another. After the work of God is finished in the land, all will know him, from the least unto the greatest. This work of God in judgment will be heralded by trumpets, for the Lord will do nothing except He show it unto His servants, the prophets. In the season of Tabernacles, the Feast of Trumpets as the ministry voice of Jesus will be heralded throughout the world in His work of judgment, but God’s people do not know judgment.

“…they have refused to return. Therefore I said, Surely these are poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.” (Jeremiah 5:3b,4).

In the Feast of Trumpets is the fulfilling of Jesus’ week in a full “seven” of salvation and Testimony to the world, for the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, then the end will come. The church will birth a “manchild” who is caught up to God and to his throne in order to reveal Jesus to the world, as a witness to all nations. The three and one half years will be heralded by the trumpets of God as the voice of Jesus in the last day work of God in judgment.

To understand judgment, please refer to the article on “God’s judgment”. When the judgment of God is in the earth, men will learn righteousness; thus bringing us as the church to the measure of the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ, unto a perfect man, having the testimony of Jesus, being a living witness of Jesus to the world. The works that Jesus did, so the church will do also, as the mirror image of Jesus as bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh, to the fullness of glory. The judgment decreed shall overflow in righteousness, which will reveal the glory of Jesus in and through the church as the bride of Christ. This is the message for the hour as God begins his work heralded by his trumpets.

The Day of Atonement is forerun by the Feast of Trumpets; that is, the golden censor will be carried within the Vail of the Tabernacle, bringing the church face to face with Jesus. The span of time between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement is 10 days, referred to as the “days of awe”. It was during these “days of awe” that Israel prepared for the Day of Atonement in self introspection, getting rid of all evil and iniquity, or any shortcoming that would condemn them in judgment at the approaching Day of Atonement. This is the ten days of judgment upon the church.

“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tired; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10).

It is here that the seven angels will begin to sound as the ministry voice of Jesus throughout the world, as a witness to all nations, before the end comes. The Feast of Trumpets will manifest Jesus to the world in his ministry voice of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers throughout the body of Christ. In the Feast of Trumpets which comes in the beginning of the season of Tabernacles, the Pentecostal glory that the church has experienced for two thousand years will go to the next level of glory in the season of Tabernacles, the church coming to the measure of the fullness of the stature of Jesus Christ. The church will know Jesus, not intellectually, but in their spirit, seeing those things as revealed by the Spirit of God in the last days. The  trumpet herald will be the ministry voice of Jesus in three manifestations; that is, 1) as Jesus in redemption miracles (the church working redemption miracles in healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead, casting out devils, opening blind eyes, loosing the dumb tongues, and the captives going free); 2) as Moses in judgment miracles: the church working judgment in the earth by water being turned to blood and smiting the earth with plagues, as often as they will, just as Moses did in Egypt; and 3) Elijah in kingdom miracles: the church working kingdom miracles in having power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy, being translated from one place to another just as Elijah did in his days upon earth. These redemption miracles, judgment miracles, and kingdom miracles will all witness the Testimony of Jesus with all holiness and power in the kingdom of God. “JESUS ONLY” will be the end result, for the kingdoms of the world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ in the seventh trumpet.

It is in the last days before the battle of the day of the LORD Jesus that the church will again prophesy according to the Word given to John, whom the church will fulfilling the Word that was given to John in that he would prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. For it is the sound of a trumpet talking with John saying “Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.”  (Revelation 4:1). The One sitting on the throne is Jesus revealing the government of God to John as well as His Person and work. The trumpet talking with John is what is referred to in this article as the “ministry voice of Jesus”. The ministry voice of Jesus is the things of faith that the church must receive in order to have the testimony of Jesus and keep the commandments of God, thereby coming to the fullness of glory of Jesus. “Come up hither” is indicative of the “manchild” who is caught up to God and to his throne as the church being Jesus’ disciples that have entered within the veil into the Holy of Holies, just as John did here. John did not die a martyr’s death just as some of the church will not die, but be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. John was the disciple that Jesus loved, not that Jesus preferred him above the others, for God is no respecter of persons. But John foreshadowed the church coming into the Tabernacle glory of God as one man unto perfection.

There are seven trumpets that compile the ministry voice of Jesus in redemption miracles, judgment miracles, and kingdom miracles that we shall look at now. Let me say first that many hours could be preached upon each trumpet as it is heralded in the earth. This is just a brief synopsis and does not begin to give the full meaning, but a general idea as to the depth of the work of God in the earth, preparing the way for the LORD Jesus to return and reign a thousand years. With that in mind, we turn to the first of seven trumpets.

“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.” (Revelation 8:7).

It is clear to discern that the beginning of trumpets start with Moses or judgment miracles as the church proclaims the ministry voice of Jesus. A clear call to repentance is declared by the witness or testimony of Jesus from the church as the judgment miracles are performed by our Lord Jesus upon the earth. The ones that do not hear will have their conscience seared with a hot iron and be burnt up in spirit. Of course, there is not only a natural side to each of these trumpets but a spiritual side as well. We will not elaborate upon the full meaning of these trumpets as it relates to the ministry voice of Jesus, but just to say that it is a call to repentance. The preaching of the Word will reveal Jesus in truth and works through the church as His body.

“And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”

(Revelation 8:8,9).

The natural side is that the sea became blood and a third part of all sea creatures died as well as ships in the sea. . There is a crystal sea before the throne of God that is clear as crystal as the truth of God’s Word that has no spot nor blemish or any such thing. This is not the crystal sea, but the sea in general. The spiritual side is that the sea is the multitude of peoples, nations, and tongues, and kings which become dead spiritually because of this great mountain. The mountain as kingdoms against kingdoms would have to be preached as well as blood, which is the life of the flesh. There are many things to point out and focus upon in the above scripture, the point I want you to consider is that death is coming in this ministry voice of Jesus in judgment miracles upon those who do not receive the Word of God.

“And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; and the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.” (Revelation 8:10,11).

The waters of truth are polluted by a root of doctrine called “wormwood” missing the mark and causing death to those who believe and are deceived by it. It is God Himself who stated that He would send strong delusion to those who did not receive the love of the truth that they might be saved, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. The key here is “love for the truth”; for one must love the Word above all things in order to be a disciple of Jesus. These will go on unto perfection as God leads them into greater truth and revelation of Himself in Person and work. Wormwood is a doctrine of peace when there is no peace. Jesus came not for peace, but rather a sword which is judgment manifested in the world. This Jesus has not been manifested or revealed as yet, but soon will as the God of all glory reveals Himself in judgment that will overflow in righteousness. In the latter days, we will understand this perfectly.

“Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. (Jeremiah 23:15-17).

The evil spoken of by the prophet Jeremiah is the Hebrew “rah” meaning “trouble, tribulation”. It is an essential for salvation for a believer to be established in the present truth of the Word of God and to know judgment and the day of our visitation. Consider the following scripture.

“And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst: The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.” (Deuteronomy 29:19-20).

We must know the work of God in order to follow on to know the Lord Jesus unto a perfect man, to be accepted of Him. Anything short of this will not make heaven.

“And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.” (Revelation 8:12).

The fourth trumpet brings darkness, not only natural but spiritual as well. These are the thirds of God’s judgments in propelling the church to the fullness of glory. Each of these trumpets requires hours of preaching and teaching, but this is only a “tip of the iceberg” commentary. The hair refers to a glory as with Samson and the woman as the church. With that said, we will be weighed in the balances with a razor by them beyond the river, by the northern army which will divide the church in glory. Some will be burned with the conscience being seared, some will be scattered, and still others will be given to the sword. This is Jesus executing judgments in the midst of the church in the sight of all nations because of all the abominations. Bottom line: the church that believes the Lord will go to a higher level of glory while the others are cut off.

“A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.” (Ezekiel 5:12).

There are three more trumpets to sound in the earth which are the trumpets of “woe”. This is the bitter herbs of the Word of God which will have to be eaten by the church as bitterness to the heart but sweet to the mouth. These are lamentations, mourning, and woe to the church as God brings forth the church unto righteousness, unto the measure of the stature of fullness of Christ.

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.”

(Revelation 9:1).

The fifth trumpet is the Hebrew name “Abaddon” or Greek name “Apollyon”, the Destroyer of the Gentiles which is on his way. The nation brought upon the people of God, the outer court given to the Gentiles which shall be trodden down for forty-two months as the church is measured in the wilderness before she journeys over Jordan, within the veil, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Jesus Christ.

“And the sixth trumpet sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God. Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:13-16).

This is the northern army that God has sent among His people that they may know them and try their ways. This is the rod and staff of God upon His people, not the wrath of God, but the wrath of Satan coming down to earth having great wrath knowing that he has but a short time. The boiling pot of God to rid the church of the dross is out of the north. “Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.” (Jeremiah 1:14,15). “Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities. Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth form his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.” (Jeremiah 4:5-7).

“But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.” (Revelation 10:7).

The seventh trumpet is not the last trumpet when the believers are changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, but is the beginning of the great tribulation when Satan is cast down to the earth having great wrath because he knows that he has but a short time. The last trumpet or the Great Trumpet of God is the resurrection trumpet in the last day when all saints will arise to everlasting life. The trump of the seventh angel heralds the travail of the woman clothed with the sun who brings forth the manchild’s journeying in the wilderness for a time, times, and dividing of time; 42 months; 3 ½ years; one thousand two hundred and threescore days of great tribulation. (Revelation 12). The seventh trumpet is a “woe” trumpet. It is under the seventh trumpet that Satan is cast out of heaven coming down to earth having great wrath because he knows that he has but a short time; that is, 3 ½ years. This is the time that the manchild is born which is the church coming into the perfection of Jesus Christ, unto a perfect man, and as such, begins to make the kingdoms of this world, the kingdoms of our LORD and of His Christ. The seals and first 6 trumpets have already sounded with the seventh trumpet beginning the 42 months, 3 ½ years of the great tribulation.

The Last Trumpet; “And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.” (John 6:39).

The last trump is the voice of God and not that of an angel. “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:51.52). This is also the time that the dead are judged out the Book. “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” (John 12:48). The last trumpet is the resurrection trumpet of God when all saints are changed in a moment, in the time of a splitting of an atom.

This is a brief synopsis of the trumpets which herald each event and happening of God in the earth.
