"And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Romans 10:15a
|
Mankind has many limitations because of being a human being of flesh and blood. An individual can only be one place at a time, and generally is limited to how much information can be assimilated at one time. God on the other hand is not restricted to time or place and is all knowing. Adam had brought mankind and creation under bondage to death with the creation bearing a curse. Therefore, God as Spirit could not redeem mankind back to himself as Spirit since Adam had lost the dominion to Satan as a man. A man as Adam lost it, only a man of Adam can redeem it back as a Kinsman Redeemer. "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over then that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." (Romans 5:14). Therefore, Christ will be an Adam possessing a fallen nature like any other man or woman with a propensity to sin. However, Jesus will not possess a sinful nature it that He will never sin in deed, thought, or action. Satan did not believe that a man in his fallen state could fulfill the law, keeping all the ordinances thereof. But Christ as a man will do just that as a man through the Spirit in order to have the right to redeem mankind back to himself. Jesus will work redemption as a man, not just a mere man, since He will have the Spirit resident in him as a permanent dwelling. Therefore, redemption will necessitate several roles or offices of God in order to redeem mankind back to Himself. God as Spirit will not be limited to place or time or knowledge. He will be able to do all things at the same time in different places, from heaven to earth. He will be able to hear all prayers that are addressed to him at one time. And at the same time, He will simultaneously answer all them that pray to him which is humanly impossible. Since Jesus Christ is before Abraham, He is the Spirit of God. However He is also flesh and blood as a man with a human spirit, soul, and body that permanently houses the Spirit of God. Therefore, Jesus Christ will be at work in several offices as the Spirit of God. Some offices will be totally or entirely Spirit with different roles while other offices will be limited as to the particular office.
Jesus Christ is the one and same Spirit working in each of these offices in both Person and work. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh (human being of spirit, soul, and body). Jesus has the Holy Ghost without measure while working redemption in the office of the Son of God as the God-man; that is, both divine and human. He is truly a human being as Adam of flesh and blood that suffers, hungers, thirsts, becomes wearied and tired, tempted in all points just like all human beings are tempted, yet without sin. But Jesus in not just a mere man only, as He has dwelling in him the Spirit of God as the only begotten of God full of grace and truth. Jesus overcomes the world, Satan, and his own flesh through the Spirit in His Person. This is only by the revelation of Jesus Christ as God Jesus in His Person is both God and man. In pre-glorification, Jesus as a man does not possess all knowledge as He is led of the Father or Spirit in all things. He reveals only the divine nature of God since He only is the express image of exact impress of His nature. He overcomes the world, the devil, and his flesh through the Spirit. After glorification, He is a spiritual man that goes back to His former glory in a body of flesh to be seated at the right hand of God within the Holy of Holies in order to make the way for mankind to enter within the vail. Jesus is the Father that is administrating all other offices. He is the Word as the divine Expression of God. He is the Holy Ghost as His Spirit form or the Spirit of His Person. He is the Son of God as the Spirit of God manifested in a body of flesh and blood or the God-man. In the redemptive office, He is both 1) Spirit and 2) man. As the Son of man, Jesus is the Kingdom of God which will be manifested in full judgment of the world with the revelation of the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. There are many other offices of Jehovah and Elohim that could be cited. The offices stated above are not all inclusive as God is all. But these are listed for the admonition of the believer in the Person of work of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. |
