Latter Rain

"And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Romans 10:15a
|
At it applies to the individual believer: The seasons of a believer's life are like the earth receiving the rain as truth, knowledge and understanding of the Word. The believer should never rest only on the former rain in the beginning of their salvation in Pentecostal experience which fructified the seed of the Word to spring up in them, the new man beginning to grow; but should look and pray for the latter rain in their life as the rain that ripened the corn for harvest; the spirit, soul, and body being presented blameless coming unto a perfect man, being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ in fullness.
As it applies to the church corporately: The Pentecostal rain started in the church with the seed of the Word being fructified by the rain of the Holy Ghost moving upon the believers in power giving them power to become the sons of God; the latter rain having the power of the former plus the added power of the latter which will bring the church to full maturity of perfection, unto the measure of the stature of Jesus Christ, unto a perfect man like unto the Son of man, the manchild caught up to God and to his throne.
The Season of Tabernacles is made up of three last Feasts of the Lord; the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles. The Feasts of the LORD are just that; that is, eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking His blood, going deeper into the glory of God in revealing Jesus to the nations. The seasons that are given for the church to know are the Hebrew “mow’ed” which is the divine appointments of God with mankind, God’s appointment book showing specific times of seasons concerning his body the church. The former rain stands alone in the feasts being the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost. It was the beginning of the formation of the perfect man being conformed to the image of Jesus. However the church must be presented perfect to Jesus, without spot and without blemish, blameless in spirit, soul, and body that has made herself ready. The church has now progressed throughout the last two thousand years by the leading of the Holy Ghost unto the present day truth represented in the last season of Tabernacles. The Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Ghost was the former rain moderately as spoken by Peter quoting Joel 2 "this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel, in the last days I will pour out of my Spirit..."
The ten days of awe is the same time as the great tribulation of 3 1/2 years when the woman is clothed with the sun and the moon in under her feet, with a crown of 12 stars. Much can be said of this woman that goes into travail, paining to be delivered of a “manchild” caught up to God and to His throne. The “manchild” is the perfect man as the remnant of the church's seed which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The danger of anyone receiving a move of God and not holding the cross as the foundation of revealing Jesus is unstable at best, and will end only in destruction of souls. The true move of God will be seated and grounded in the cross of Jesus with no lifting up of the flesh where no man can glory in himself, but in God alone; in Jesus only. We are always delivered unto death that the life of the Lord Jesus can be made manifest in our mortal bodies.
God has always allowed times of refreshing since the day of Pentecost for those who will seek him, but the appointed time of these seasons or “mow'ed” as his divine appointments of God with mankind revealing his Person and Work will not be one minute early nor one minute late. Notice the season for Pentecost which the Lord did not specifically tell his followers in detail as concerning this season simply told them to wait in the upper room for the promise of the Father which "you have heard of me, that you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost...” Obedience to the Word of the Lord is required just as the believers did in the season of Pentecost obeyed not knowing all that was to come, but only that it was the Word of the Lord spoken to them before Jesus ascended. They obeyed the present truth by faith and received the promise of that season of rain in Pentecost. Pentecost came on a specific timetable, on a specific day; “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come..."
The spirit of prophecy is Jesus in present truth of the Word and all that the Word speaks of Him in glory. We are partakers of that glory fulfilling Jesus' will that where he is, there we may be also. This was his prayer in the days of his flesh. He stated that the same glory that he had received of the Father, that same glory he has given to his body, the church. The work is finished and nothing can be added to it. However there is a specified time and season for the saints to experience this glory. Many understand this truth but as yet the body as the church has yet to experience this glory that has already been paid in full for the church as the body of Jesus. This fullness of Jesus in understanding by faith these truths is true worship in spirit and in truth referred to as the testimony of Jesus; the saints becoming the ark of the testimony revealing Jesus; thus, the revelation of Jesus Christ. To be a partaker of this glory, the believer must see these things that must shortly come to pass which is the purpose of the book of the Revelation of Jesus as stated.
The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy; the Word manifested in the flesh; Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Notice it is not Jesus Christ has come in the flesh (speaking of 2,000 years ago which Jesus did come in the flesh), but "is come" speaks of the revelation of Jesus, the Son of God is come being present tense. This is God manifesting the Son in and through the body of Christ, the church. The problem that we have in the body of Christ is that even though most have the revelation that Jesus is the Father, there is great controversy as to the Son of God and who he is. Most see Jesus as who he was, not what he currently is in his exaltation of glory, dignity, and honor. The testimony of Jesus will have the perfect revelation of Jesus, the Son of God who is God alone; Jesus only.
The "new thing' that God will do that is not a revival as usual, but the "great things" that God will do in "exploits" as things that have never been done before as 'new' in the saints? There has never been a time when one generation did the works of God unto perfection, for the former rain of Pentecost revealed a man (Jesus) but not in full glory and perfection.
Just as there are three sections to Moses’ tabernacle, there were three cross sections of the disciples of Jesus. They are as follows: 1) Outer court being twelve (12), the complete 12 as the perfect government of God 2) Holy Place being three disciples; Peter, James, John; number three being “raise, resurrection”; these three alludes to the day that the Lord will “raise us up” and we will live in his sight 3) Most Holy Place being one; that is John: one, the beloved disciple whom Jesus loved. Here we see the gate is strait and narrow is the way that leads to righteousness as greater revelation is given to these three groups of disciples, leading the church from one glory to another glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus. There is a place in God where John attains by the hearing of faith coupled with love as the disciple whom Jesus loved. It is this state or place of glory that the church will enter into as the disciple John did who “if God wills, will not die until Jesus comes”; who will again prophesy before many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings. The church will enter into the testimony of Jesus as to present truth who as the disciple John, will lay their head upon the breast of Jesus being the beloved man. This is the church coming unto the knowledge of the Son of God, not intellectually, but spiritually knowing in the heart. For no man knows the Son of God unto perfection yet at present. We must receive the things of faith in order to enter into this realm, knowing the name of Jesus in his new name.
The name that we are all striving for is to be called by his name, this name is JESUS as we all know. It is the quality and revelation of the name wherein is light which is always shining brighter and brighter unto the perfect day when we shall be known even as we are known. This is the faith of the saints in understanding the things unto a perfect seven, having the knowledge of the Son of God.
The manchild of Revelation 12 is born of a woman who is clothed with the sun (love of God in affections) and the moon (understanding, revelation by faith) in under her feet (feet carrying out God's word, her responsibility as two feet have ten toes) who goes into birth pains in order to birth the manchild who is caught up to God and to his throne. These things coming upon the church are the beginning of birth pains which will bring the church to the birth of the manchild; the remnant of her seed (remnant of the church) that has two things: 1) Have the testimony of Jesus 2) Keep the commandments of God
the commandments of God being ten are man's duty
out of love coupled with the testimony of Jesus being out of faith by hearing
the Word, the understanding coming by faith.
It is important to note that this was the second law given to Moses as he had broken the first with 3,000 being destroyed at natural Israel's Pentecost while the Holy Ghost saved 3,000 on the day of Pentecost; the natural law being a ministration of death, the law of liberty giving life. The natural law being lifted up to its spiritual state by the life of Jesus through the cross then becomes the revealing of the name JESUS.
He that loves God keeps his commandments, for love is volition of the will with the thought and intents of the heart made manifest by action; therefore, the manchild or celestial man keeps the commandments of God (drinking the blood of Jesus, action by love or charity).
The other requisite of the manchild or celestial man is that he has the testimony of Jesus, the spirit of prophecy; the same as in any body, for as the body without the spirit is dead; so the church as the body of Christ is dead without the spirit of prophecy actuated by the Spirit of God. These things are the Word and are expressly put forth by the Spirit as the sure Word of prophecy in the fulfilling of all the good will, plan, and purpose of God for his own good pleasure; the things of faith, the things that must shortly come to pass, the things of prophecy being the Word orchestrated in and through the body of Christ by faith. The wise shall understand, but the wicked cannot understand these things. The Lord asked the question, “Will he find faith on the earth when he comes?”
In summary, what do we find therefore in the mandhild? We find two qualifiers for a believer to be a celestial man that are not stagnant, but dynamic and progressive; 1) keeping the commandments of God (charity as love demonstrated by action); and 2) having the testimony of Jesus (understanding as faith).
The celestial man has both faith and love as
one, doing what he sees and knows to be right, a single minded man having the
mind of Christ, knowing the times and the seasons as Issachar did in the days of
David (kingdom); knowing what the people of God should do.
Current day techniques and programs of outreach will be obsolete and counted as nothing when the true Jesus is revealed in power and great glory...The people being gathered to the true Jesus having a greater revelation of His name which is not only in this world, but in the world to come. There is a world to come with the night being far spent and the Day at hand.
