Are we as a church at the seals, or possibly at the trumpets? The interpretation of the Word of God is rarely agreed to by believers as to Bible prophecy, so this will be “food for thought”. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the unveiling of Jesus in the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy. The Testimony of Jesus is more than just the Ark of Testimony being the abode of God in the church as individual believers who have the Holy Ghost, but is the progressive spirit of revelation in the body of Christ in knowing and doing the present truth as the proceeding word is actually walking in the light as Jesus is in the light. It is being established in the present truth and light of the Word of God having the spirit of prophecy in the ever progressing knowledge of the name of Jesus. The white stone wherein is a new name written is a greater revealing of the name of “Jesus” as to His person and work not only in the church as his body, but in the heavens and earth as well. This is the knowledge of things in restoring the faith that was once delivered to the saints; the faith as it relates to what we the church must do to be established in truth.

I believe that we as the body of Christ are in the progression of the 7 seals at present. Let me explain. The 7 seals of The Revelation are spiritual which ultimately are revealed in the natural. So we will look at the spiritual as well as the natural meanings of these seals and trumpets. This is not intended as an in-depth study of the seals and trumpets, but a general synopsis of time and events as each relates to the church, the bride of Christ as to current events. The judgments of God which are sword, famine, pestilence, and noisome beasts are always God’s working and not Satan’s upon the earth, for the earth and the fullness thereof is the LORD’S. Therefore, God works and who will let it. As we parallel this with Matthew 24, we can see that the Lord Jesus foretold these judgments in the days of his flesh.

“For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

(Matthew 24:5-14)

The seven seals of Revelation chapter six begin with four seals each of which is revealed by the four living creatures, or the four beasts; that is, the lion, ox, man, and eagle. Each beast relates to the affections of the believer in love for the truths of God in progressive revelation as each beast beckons the believer to “come and see”. In other words, the first beast says “come and see”, giving spiritual perception and insight that requires the believer to be in the love and affection for divine truth since truth flows from good manifested by keeping the commandments of God. If any one tells you that works do not save you, but it is by faith alone without works, simply ask that person why Jesus states to each individual church in the Revelation of Jesus Christ, “I know thy works.” True faith is always accompanied by works by which faith makes perfect or complete. Jesus is looking for perfect works, but states that He has not found “thy works perfect”. No double minded man can see the things of God in present truth as it flows in the present tense from the throne of God (for man lives by every word that proceeds from God), but always doubts being confused in relation to God’s love and truth especially as it relates to the work of God. This is the root of Babylon that remains in confusion, never able to receive the truth. Babylon is not an earthly city being Rome or Constantinople or Israel, but is the city of the world, the tower of Babel, desiring their own name and reputation rather that the name of God; loving the things of man rather than the things of God. Faith is the substance of these things; the things of God.

The “chariot” in the Word of God is the doctrines and dogmas of the Word being the principles of the Word of God. The “horse” is the knowledge of these doctrines, dogmas, principles, statutes, judgments, etc. of the Word of God. The chariot by itself alone cannot be used in warfare as it has no life in and of itself; but when attached to horses becomes an instrument of warfare. The horse in the Word of God is never used in reference to servitude, but always reflects war. The horse as it applies to the believer is the knowledge of these truths that gives life, for the Spirit gives life to the Word; for the letter kills; it is the Spirit gives life. The “rider” is the believer’s works that magnify God on the earth that carry out the knowledge of God into warfare taking the reigns and guiding these truths unto victory.

Many a minister of today will get a book of sermons or get his next message from the internet or some commentary as an attempt to feed the local church congregation. As good as his intentions can be, the preacher without a flow of truth through him by the Spirit of God, with God speaking through him, can only bring the dead letter which yields death to the congregation of hearers. This congregation then becomes legalistic and mechanical in worship, doing the same things over and over and over again, never entering into the deeper things of God. They never grow up into Him, that is Jesus, who is the head of the church; they never grow up and mature unto a perfect man. This is what we begin to see and understand by revelation from the first beast in the Kingdom of God.

With that said, the first beast said “Come and see”. This kicks off the truth to those that will move according to the spirit of God and see with their eyes of understanding. Enter the white horse. The white horse is full of light, for white contains all the various colors of the spectrum, for each color is pure light that is refracted which has its own particular wavelength corresponding to a particular revelation in the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ. White is the righteousness of the saints, being in right standing with God. However, this rider does not carry a sword being the Word of God, but a bow which is mentioned only once in the New Testament. This is noteworthy as it proposes change in the norm of things. The bow is counted as an instrument of warfare as it propels arrows into the air against the enemy, striking deadly blows. However, this bow is not a bow for warfare, but is made from fabric as a “winner’s ribbon” or an “ornamental bow” for those who overcome by faith which is our victory that overcomes the world. This can be a true Christ or something standing as light mentioned of Satan’s ministers who transform themselves as angels of light. It is noteworthy that God is the One who sends strong delusion to those who have pleasure in unrighteousness so that they might be damned who receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved. I offer a synopsis to this first seal as a move of God to reach the world in the revelation of Jesus Christ. When truth is received, it brings forth blessing. When truth is rejected, it brings forth judgment. Blessing or cursing is due to the individual person as to how they see with their spiritual eyes and hear with their spiritual ears the Word of God as it proceeds from God. The crown given to this rider on the white horse is a “stephanos” (a crown of victory, like a crown given to an athlete for winning) rather than a “diadema” (crown of authority or dominion). This horseman takes time and effort; literally in the Greek meaning “he went out overcoming that he might overcome”.

I believe this to be the apostolic doctrine in the church as it relates unto the knowledge of the Son of God to bring us as the body of Christ unto full maturity. This will be accomplished by God through the five-fold ministry of first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly, teachers, etc. In other words, the apostles and prophets restored to active ministry in the church along with true evangelists, pastors, and teachers.

Let’s take a closer look at this “ornamental bow”. The bow is the Greek “toxon” meaning “bow” from “tikto” meaning “to bring forth, bear; produce (fruit from seed).[1] This is the beginning of sorrows or birth pangs as Jesus forewarned would come to pass. The beginning of these judgments manifests the “male” spirit nature of God in and through the believer rather than the female matriarchal spirit of the church as at present. This begins the labor pains in bringing forth the “manchild” or “male-son” of Revelation 12; the manifestation of the sons of God in judgment which results in the redemption of our bodies. This horseman enters into warfare conquering and to conquer, waging war against the whole earth, both against the righteous as well as the wicked. (Ezekiel 21). This Word can only be received by those weaned from the milk and are capable of the meat of the Word. For the whole world as well as the present mother or matriarchal church are against the bringing forth (tikto) of the “male son” Spirit in the believers. The status quo of the church is to stay in the “lovey dovey” “kind” “rooty-tooty fresh and fruity” mother spirit of the church rather than the “male-son” manchild spirit of violence against the evil and complacent spirit of the church; “I’m okay, you’re okay”…”let’s not rock the boat” for that will certainly “cause waves”. “Don’t preach longer than 30 minutes or one hour at the very most, for my mind cannot handle this long winded kind of fanaticism; after all I’m saved and I don’t need it and I don’t want it”. Enough of this “bow” for now. I don’t want anyone to drop this article prematurely because of the cross, the sacrifice of these “sons of oil” upon the altar of God for the sake of His body which is the church. For that, is another topic in itself. Suffice it to say that God is working to war against the complacency and static spirit of the church that has become lethargic and phlegmatic as to receiving the truth as it is flows from the throne of God.

The next affection of the believer reflected in the next beast said “Come and see”. Enter the red horse which brings war and takes peace from the earth. The earth in the spiritual sense is the church of the living God which is not at peace anymore, but is in turmoil and anguish of spirit. The red in a good sense speaks of the blood of Jesus, but in a bad sense is man’s own love of self...ruddy as a natural man of Adam. This rider of the red horse has degenerated from the white righteousness into a place of no peace indicated by red, the most flamboyant active color of the spectrum. This horse and his rider take peace from the earth now with backbiting, envy, hate, malice, etc and the like with no more unity in the church, but division among the church as well as peace from all nations and kingdoms of the earth. The sword is always the Word of God which is two edged and speaks of God’s whetting his glittering sword in heaven and his hand taking hold on judgment. For God has put the sword in the hand of the slayer which is upon the whole earth; for the prophet that prophesies peace when there is no peace shall be cut off.

The affection of the believer now gives spiritual insight as the next beast said “Come and see”. Now, it is a black horse and rider. Black is absent of all colors of light, being the basest of all, void of light. I am sorry to say that is at this point the church is divided into segments of barley, wheat, and oil and wine. Barley harvest was the first harvest of souls being the first of the Pentecostal or summer harvest of souls. Wheat is the next harvest of souls also being in the first Pentecostal or summer harvest; the barley and wheat harvest of progression of revelation. The wheat and barley harvest speak of the Feast of Pentecost which we call Pentecostal; that is, repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Holy Ghost. However, oil and wine harvest was in the Feast of Tabernacles, the last great harvest of fruits. This is the reason for three measure of barley for a penny and one measure of wheat for a penny. The barley harvest takes more measures than the wheat harvest, for these are measures of faith reached by receiving truth, going from faith to faith. Therefore, these believers have not reached the level of maturity in the deeper things of God, but are still in the Pentecostal realm of harvest, never going into the fruit harvest of oil and wine in the season of Tabernacles, the last great harvest that brings forth the fruit of the Spirit unto perfection.

The penny was a man’s wages for the day which speaks of the Dayspring from on High, the Daystar, the bright and morning Star, Jesus Christ. Therefore, these believers of barley and wheat have a way to go yet and must be spiritually willing to buy the truth and sell it not, for the penny is the wage for both barley and wheat; that depth of revelation in Jesus that the individual believer has attained unto in God. It is the fruit harvest of oil and wine that are not hurt who have reached this depth in Jesus. Hallelujah!  This is a time of darkness and gross darkness over the people as it is at present. This is time of famine, not of bread, but a famine of hearing the Word of God. This is truly where we as the church are presently. Neighbor, you can go far and wide and not hear enough Word to move your spirit one iota, and certainly not enough to help prepare for the things of God coming upon the earth. This also applies to natural famine in the land as billions die of hunger and malnutrition in the earth.

Then of course is the last horse and rider which is pale being Death and Hell follows after him. This is the state of the church being dead, lifeless, with no rivers of life in true revelation of Jesus; the church not walking in the light as Jesus is in the light, staying on things past rather than the progressive things of God; that is not going from faith to faith unto the glory of God.

Of course, we have spiritualized somewhat these firsts four seals not scraping the tip of the iceberg, but the natural destruction manifested in the earthly realm will follow; first the spiritual, then the natural. In Revelation 8:3 we see the altar of incense before the throne of God which happens on the Day of Atonement in the season of Tabernacles, when the prayers of the saints will be offered with the incense. The altar of incense is different than the altar of burnt offering in that the altar of burnt offering is the place that each individual would bring their offering to God whereas the altar of incense was approached by the priests for the entire nation of Israel. The altar of incense then speaks of the church as a whole rather than the individual members of the body of Christ, the church. The key here is that all of the saints are united in prayer, not just individuals with varying needs, but the entire body of Christ as one in unity in prayer. What would be the cause that would unite all believers to be in one accord in prayer to God? I believe that it is the judgments of God upon the earth beginning with the first seal of the white horse rider progressively going to the fourth seal named Death; sword, famine, pestilence, and noisome beasts causing global calamity and disaster. This would certainly be the motivating factors in bringing unity in the body of Christ to be moved to pray for those things coming upon the face of the earth to try the earth.

No one will disagree that has one eye and half sense in spiritual things that God is now beginning to shake things in the earth. Kingdoms of man are being shaken with war in the Middle East, Israel against Palestine as it struggles against the Holy Jihad of Hamas in Gaza. Monetary systems of the world are at an all time low with governments both moral and judicial under attack from spiritual wickedness in high places. The people of America want change and have elected President elect Barak Obama for this change. This President elect will be sworn in January 20th and will be faced with the greatest financial turmoil that this nation has ever experienced. God will teach us that He is in control and not man.

God has given me several dreams in the last few months, all having to do with the “manchild”, God’s people coming into the realm of the celestial man caught up to God and to His throne. Just last night I had a dream of a young boy in a white closed coffin that was setting on a platform with two preachers on each side. I felt the child was around four feet tall that lay in this casket. They moved out of the way as I walked to the right side of the coffin. Then this boy who was in the coffin reached out of the top as the lid was moved upward and with his arm grabbed hold of my arm. There is more that is coming for the body of Christ.

Dear saint, do not be satisfied with the things of the past in your experience in God, but rather go on pressing onward to the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. It is this pressing onward, the violent spirit of the “manchild” rather than the laid back lackadaisical sprit that we now see in the external church in the earth. Man made religion of denominations or following some so-called great man of God in various cults have moved the Lord Jesus to the place now that He will bring forth an influx of truth to his body, the church then judgments will follow. How we receive the Word will determine whether we are blessed or cursed; blessing to those that receives it and cursing to those who do not receive it. It is because of truth that flows from God to us that we are judged accordingly in how we hear His Word.

Look for a great influx of truth as judgments flow from God upon the earth, for God is preparing his people for the kingdom of heaven. Sword, famine, pestilence, and noisome beasts are God’s judgments upon us because we have not seen nor heard His Word. So the Book of Acts is still in operation today as it has no “amen” at the end of it, but is still in progress. Paul being an apostle is quoted in the last chapter of the Book of Acts which declared the state of the religious people of his day which is the same as it is at present. We as the church are at a crossroads.

“And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,  Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.  And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.  And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”

(Acts 28:24-31)

God bless you and yours,
