"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16). The Son of God is the Redemptive office of the Spirit of God. The Son of God is comprised of 1) Spirit (Father, Word, Holy Ghost) and 2) flesh (sarx = human spirit, soul, and body). Therefore, there are two parts or forms when referring to the title, Son of God. The only begotten of the Father simply means that the flesh and blood body of Jesus was not begotten of a human man, but of God Himself. The birth of Jesus Christ was like any other 9 month period being borne of Mary. The conception however was that of the Holy Ghost or Father.  Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God is the Word (God, Father, Holy Ghost, Elohim, El Shaddai, etc) made flesh as the Son of God having the glory of God manifested in a human body of flesh and blood just like ours. The mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ is as stated by Paul as follows: "For in him (Christ) dwelleth (katoikeo-to house permanently, reside) all the fulness of the Godhead bodily (one body). This is the only begotten Son of God that is the express image or character of the Person of God. (Hebrews 1:3b).

First Adam

Last Adam, Jesus Christ

1. made a living soul

1. made a quickening spirit

2. manifested fallen nature

2. manifested divine nature

3. is of the earth, earthy

3. is the Lord from heaven

4. from beneath

4. from above

5. of this world

5. not of this world

Adam was formed of the dust of the ground and therefore all mankind of a natural human nature returns back to the ground from where they came. However, Jesus Christ even though was formed of the dust of the ground just like us as an Adam, was different in that he was the "holy thing" from God containing God's own Spirit. Therefore, when He died, He did not return back to the dust of the ground to see corruption as all men, but was resurrected and went back to heaven where He was before by the decree of God that was foreordained of him.

Adam in his disobedience brought forth death to himself and to his progeny, his spirit sinking back to dust from whence his body was created. His spirit died which in Hebrew is the ruwach not being able to receive the Light or have fellowship with God because of sin. Sin separated him from God and death reigned in the earth upon all mankind. All that are born of Adam are born with a dead spirit in darkness, separated from God. Jesus was a man of Adam just like us in that he took on a human spirit, soul, and body just like Adam in a fallen state. Jesus as a man lived a perfect, holy, sinless life and fulfilled the law. Satan did not believe that a human being could fulfill the law in every respect, blameless. However, God as Spirit took on a human body partaking of flesh and blood as a man and fulfilled the law, thus becoming the only man that learned obedience. Mankind under Adam could not learn obedience having sin, thus being weak in the flesh. Jesus as the only begotten Son of God learned obedience through the things which he suffered, making the captain of our salvation perfect through sufferings. All the world or mankind is under the federal head of Adam as he is the head of the human race being under the sentence of death. However, Jesus is the head of a new Godly race of people called the church which is His body as the called out ones who have life.

The Light sits upon the throne of the ruwach, which in turn sits upon the nephesh or soul which in turn lights the body. "The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, they whole body also if full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness." (Luke 11:34).  In Adam all die, for there is none good, no not one. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Because Adam or mankind have a dead human spirit being without the light of God, all ultimately sin and are sinners, without hope in the world.

However, Jesus Christ was born in natural flesh and blood like ours, but he overcame the world, the devil, and his flesh through the Spirit of God that was resident in him. God became incarnate being fashioned as a man of Adam for the redemption of mankind for the suffering of death upon the cross. As a Spirit, God could not die and be the propitiation for our sins. As a man, He could suffer and die for the sin of the world as the Lamb of God.  He did not have to be born again as all Adams or mankind since he never sinned.  This is the mystery; God did not give the Holy Ghost by measure to him as a man. All the fullness of the Godhead dwelled or housed permanently in Christ Jesus bodily. The Spirit of God did not dwell permanently in Adam. Adam's spirit became humous or dirt as the dirt-man because of sin, death entered into the world.  This brought forth the law of sin and death in our members of flesh, since we are all of Adam. None of us are born with the Spirit of God. We are born in darkness with a dead human spirit that must be born again or regenerated in order to receive the Light of God.

In order for an Adam to be born again, he or she must be born of the water and the Spirit. In water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ after one repents, he or she is buried by baptism into Jesus' death thus removing the body or weight of sin that before was carried by the individual. Sin is in the heart of the individual, but God performs the spiritual circumcision of the heart, circumcising the sin from the heart which gives the individual a new and clean heart. Then upon being raised out of the water, the individual now has a regenerated spirit or ruwach which can now receive the Light of God. The next step is to be born of the Spirit which one does in being baptized in the Spirit or receiving the Holy Ghost. Now the person is a new creation in Christ Jesus having a new human spirit that is joined to the Spirit of God.  "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit". (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Jesus Christ was much like a believer after one has been born again in that He like the new believer has a live spirit joined with the Spirit of God. The primary difference between a believer as a son or daughter of God and Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God is that Jesus is the Spirit of God that was resident in a body of human flesh and blood as the Yachiyd or sole, unique, solitary one being God. We as believers are one or Echad (compound unity) with God through the Spirit, whereas Jesus Christ is the Spirit. Jesus Christ as a man was no different in the days of his flesh than you and me... that you and I are just like him. However, because His Person is truly God, He received worship as God that He truly is in His Spirit. The man Christ Jesus was the express image or character of God manifesting the fullness of the divine nature of God perfectly. The body of Christ or church however will not receive worship from anyone as sons of God even though we are the body of Christ simply because only Jesus is God.  We can see Jesus as an ordinary man in a flesh and blood body just like mankind, but we cannot see him only as a mere man since He as the Spirit of God resided permanently in that body of flesh and blood as the only begotten Son of God. He only is God that was manifested in the flesh as the only begotten Son of God to take away the sin of the world.

Praise His glorious name as his work as the only begotten Son of God who was given so that none should perish, but that all that believe on him might have everlasting life. Life has indeed come into the world and shone in the darkness. The people that sat in darkness have seen a great light, and this is the Light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He made the world and came to his own and they received him not, but to as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name, which are born, not of blood (no natural genes or DNA here of God), nor of the will of the flesh (no personal natural will for all have sinned), nor of the will of man (no philosophy or tradition of man can do it), but of God (born of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God). Jesus Christ is the Word, he is the Spirit of God that was manifested as a man in the earth to take away the sin of the world as the only begotten Son of God.
